The Technical University of Vienna, the largest scientific-technical research and educational institution in Austria and one of the most successful technical universities in Europe, offers a high quality academic program focusing on innovative technology. This summer school is designed for international students with backgrounds in engineering, art and design, business, or architecture at the bachelor's, master's, or Ph.D. level. The teaching language is English, but German courses are offered to all interested participants. Participants may choose one of the following Summer School Sessions as their focus:

-    Austrian School of Architecture
     Socially & Ecologically Beneficial, Combining Old & New
-    Vienna Green Summer Academy
     Planning the Future: Smart & Sustainable Buildings
-    Creative Engineering
     From a Creative Idea to Its Successful Marketing
-    Culture and Technology in Vienna
     Culture, Technology, & Language

The cost for this three-week interdisciplinary academic event is
EUR 1800.
This includes the registration fee, social program, tuition fee, participation fee, and "Vienna Life Package" (housing, public transport, health insurance, simcard, Internet access, and administrative support during the visa process).

July 24 - August 14, 2011

Six Austrian universities have pooled their interdisciplinary expertise about green building and set up a three-week academic program interwoven with practical knowledge and cultural exchange. Courses will be taught in English and focus on topics such as sustainable urban development and energy-efficient building solutions.

The costs for this program are
EUR 1900 to 2300. (students enrolled in partner universities/professionals);
funding opportunities are offered.

Application deadline is April 25, 2011.
