Call for Nominations: Technology of the Decade Award

As part of its 60th anniversary, the IEEE Computer Society will recognize a major significant contribution to innovative information technology over the past decade.

While the technology behind this contribution might have been developed as many as 25 years ago, it is its impact over the past ten years (1996-2005) that is of principal importance.

Nominations can suggest any individual or group of individuals who has made a major contribution to the computer science and engineering field. There are no other restrictions. A board of judges, consisting of nearly two dozen leaders from industry and academia, will form a panel to screen the candidates. Judges will select a winner by early August 2006.

The award ceremony will take place on October 30th, 2006 in San Diego, CA.
