CSPC logo.jpgMark your calendar for the 5th annual Canadian Science Policy Conference (CSPC), hosted by the Canadian Science Policy Center. This year's conference will take place in Toronto, Ontario, and has the theme: "Incubating Innovation and Ingenuity."

Proposals must be submitted online by end of day on Friday, May 31, 2013. Forms are available here.

All proposals outlines must include:

  • Title and subject of session
  • Panel format
  • Details of the proposed session: introduction, importance, relevance
  • Proposed speakers, including bios.

Conference objectives are:

  • to provide an inclusive forum at the national level to identify, discuss, and develop insights into the current Canadian science, technology, and innovation policy issues;
  • to forge stronger linkages and create networking opportunities among science policy stakeholders;
  • to provide a venue for a new generation of scientists, entrepreneurs, and policy makers to interact, innovate, and shape the future of the Canadian science policy landscape, as is required in a knowledge-driven economy;
  • to provide a supportive environment for innovative ideas and projects in science policy, and to encourage further collaborations across sectors;
  • to lay the foundation for a center dedicated to science, technology, and innovation policy.
